Mark Johnson's background is in sports biomechanics and he filmed sports in high speed on many occasions on behalf of coaches and national governing bodies.
In 2005 Slowmo became involved in the equine industry.
High speed footage of horse movement had hardly been
seen by equine practitioners but proves a most valuable
tool in lameness and shoeing analysis. Mark Johnson
has travelled to Kentucky on a couple of occasions to
film race horses.
Slowmo works closely with Quintic Consultancy Ltd.
It provides high speed footage for a number of PGA/Golf
equipment manufacturer projects under the supervision
of Paul Hurrion.
In 2010 and 2011, Slowmo covered the ATP masters tennis
finals held at the O2 arena. This was for the LTA to
provide super high resolution videos for coaching purposes.

Two Photron BC2 HD cameras were positioned court side to capture a Federer forehand and a Murray serve among many other types of shot.
On the broadcast front, Slowmo has filmed commercials
with tennis player Jelena Jankovic and world famous
footballers (Fernando Torres, Ji Sung Park) and recently
provided the high speed footage on Ronaldo: Tested to
the Limit on Sky Sports.
